The Recruitment Process

We believe that temping with Hunters Recruitment will be a rewarding and pleasurable experience. We realise that the decision to change jobs can be daunting and we hope to help make the transition as smooth and stress-free as possible. Working with you and for you

The majority of our temporary staff remain loyal to us because of our ability to place them in regular assignments that reflect their skills and personalities. Our in-depth interview with you will establish the type of assignments that would suit you most. We will conduct a full assessment of your computer skills which will help identify your competency.

If we have any suitable assignments, we will tell you about them or we will actively search to find you work as soon as possible.

Preparing you for your temporary assignments

Before you commence a temporary assignment we will brief you on the content of the role, advise you about the company and hourly rate of pay. It is probable that we will have visited our client so that we fully understand their business and culture and this information will really aid your confidence on day one.

We call our client on the first day of a new assignment to ensure you have settled in and are familiar with your responsibilities.

On commencement of an assignment, you will be given a timesheet that will need to be completed with the hours that you have worked every day minus your lunch break. This needs to be signed by a senior member of staff and submitted to us by the end of the week that you have worked so that we can process your pay.

You will be paid weekly as a Temp directly into your bank or building society account. Tax and National Insurance contributions will be deducted at source.

Holiday Pay

As a temp you are entitled to up to 24 working days holiday per year which means that you immediately accrue holiday whilst working and can enjoy time off whilst still being paid.

Temp To Perm Opportunities

You may be considering changing jobs but you don’t know exactly what you want to do. Don't despair as a high proportion of people feel exactly the same! Temping may be a solution as it will give you an opportunity to gain experience in a wide range of industries and business sectors, develop your skills and give you time to make good choices. We frequently find that employers are so impressed with our Temps that they will on occasion offer a permanent job. It is a good way to find the ideal position.
