Hi there, this is a great tip, which i have actually used myself. Put a few ice cubes in a small sandwich plasic bag and place on top of the gum to harden it, then you can scrape the gum off. Good luck and let me know how you get on.

Hi, your wife need never know. There are two classic ways of removing a red wine stain. Firstly, pour on a little white wine, then rinse with water and paper towels. Secondly, sprinkle on salt to soak into the spill (probably too late for this now). Iâm not a big fan of using bleach products on expensive carpets.
