An efficient spare Parts Administrator is required for Hunters’ client, a global hydraulics distribution company who value problem solvers who enjoy punching above their weight.  The Parts Administrator deals with all enquiries for spare parts received either directly from customers, the deciphering of machine malfunctions to assess parts required or via Engineers working with clients.

Full Time M-F Hybrid (3 days office) – 37.5 hours a week 9-5.30pm or flexible 8-4pm with ½ hour lunch

Parts Administrator – the job

  • Building relationships with customers, suppliers and manufacturers alongside Company Engineers
  • Preparing detailed parts quotations for customers utilising all resources available including online resources, parts books, drawings, supplier pricing information
  • Determine replacement parts required, according to inspections of old parts, customer requests, or customers’ descriptions of malfunctions
  • Advise customers on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available

Parts Administrator – the fit

  • Able to demonstrate a good level of education, particularly with regard to spoken and written language and mathematics, preferably with Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Experience of working in an international commercial environment
